Why Ride This Loop?

This four-day journey is for riders who want to experience everything northern Morocco offers: twisting mountain roads, blue medinas, cliff-hugging highways, and seaside culture. The distances are longer than shorter loops, but the reward is a rich mix of mountains, sea, and towns that feels like a complete adventure.

Perfect if you want a moderate challenge with big variety: Rif landscapes, Mediterranean horizons, and authentic towns along the way.

DAY 01

Tangier to Chefchaouen

Your NOMADMOTO journey begins in Tangier as we turn inland, leaving the coast behind and climbing steadily into the Rif Mountains. The road winds through small villages and rolling foothills, offering an engaging yet relaxed introduction to northern Morocco on two wheels.

By afternoon, Chefchaouen appears, dramatically set against the mountains. The blue painted medina invites unhurried exploration, with quiet alleys, local craft shops, and café terraces. The day ends with an overnight stay in a traditional riad, with dinner enjoyed on a rooftop overlooking the glowing blue city.

DAY 02

Chefchaouen to Ketama to Al Hoceima

Today delivers deeper mountain riding as we cross the heart of the Rif. The route flows through the Ketama region, where terraced hillsides, forested slopes, and high mountain passes create some of the most rewarding riding in northern Morocco.

As the afternoon unfolds, the landscape shifts as we descend toward the Mediterranean. Al Hoceima welcomes us with sea air and coastal energy. Enjoy an evening walk along the Corniche or fresh seafood by the shore before settling into a beachside hotel.

DAY 03

Al Hoceima to Oued Laou to Tetouan

The ride follows one of Morocco’s most spectacular coastal routes. Smooth tarmac traces high cliffs above the Mediterranean, delivering sweeping bends and constant sea views.

Passing through fishing towns such as Oued Laou, there is time to stop for a relaxed tea or freshly caught seafood by the water. By late afternoon, we arrive in Tetouan, home to a UNESCO listed medina shaped by strong Andalusian influence. Overnight is in a carefully selected riad or hotel within the old city.

DAY 04

Tetouan to Tangier

The final day offers an easy, scenic ride back toward Tangier, with the Mediterranean in view for much of the journey. Open roads and coastal light provide a fitting close to the adventure.

Arrival in Tangier is planned for the afternoon, where the journey concludes with mint tea at the legendary Café Hafa overlooking the sea, a perfect moment to reflect on four unforgettable days of riding.
